Tough and Versatile

The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe is still an excellent choice for a traditional large SUV, with its truck-like toughness and versatile practicality. Many have come to rely on the Chevrolet Tahoe's extensive abilities to tow heavy loads in one instance and to take them off-the-beaten-track in another instance. The Tahoe is able to meet these demands thanks to its powerful V8 engine and truck-based structure, combined with a relatively comfortable ride and cabin.
Trim Levels and Options
The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe comes in three possible trim styles, the LS, the LT, and the LTZ. All three 2011 Tahoe trims come with a 5.3 liter V8 flex-fuel engine, six-speed automatic transmission, four-wheel drive, Bluetooth, iPod input, satellite radio, side/curtain airbags, stability control, third row seats and traction control. The V8 flex-fuel engine produces 320 horsepower and 355 pound-feet of torque, and delivers 15 city/21 highway mpg. You can buy a used Tahoe engine in a 4.8, 5.3, or 5.7 liter capacity that comes with a one year warranty.
Apart from the stability control and airbags already mentioned, safety features include, anti-lock brakes and Onstar emergency telematics. All trim levels have optional rear parking sensors and a rearview camera. The LTZ can also have a blind-spot warning system fitted.
The Tahoe LS is the base model and has 17-inch alloy wheels, center floor control, eight-passenger seating with adjustable bucket seats and manual climate control. Optional features include; remote engine start, power-adjustable pedals, and a front split bench seat to allow for nine-passenger seating.
The Tahoe LT comes standard with LS features, plus leather trimming on the eight-passenger seating, tri-zone automatic, climate control, fog lamps at the front, a locking rear differential, and a nine speaker Bose audio system. Other options available include, special second-row captains chairs, heated front and second row seats (Luxury package), as well as specially tuned springs and shocks, all-terrain tires, skid plates, 18-inch alloy wheels, and front and rear fascias (Z71 Off-Road Package).
The Tahoe LTZ comes with most of the contents of the LT Luxury Package, and seven-passenger seating, 20-inch alloy wheels, perforated leather trim seating with special adjustments, power flip-and-fold second-row seats, heated and ventilated front-row seats, navigation system, damping suspension system, special cabin lighting, mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a 10-speaker Bose surround sound system. Other safety and comfort features are available. Eight-passenger seating is also an option.
The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid
The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is also available to customers. It comes in a base model only, and has similar features to the regular 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe. The main difference is that, the 2011 Tahoe Hybrid has a 6.0 liter V8 engine that works along with two 60-kilowatt electric motors, both housed inside a special automatic transmission. The 2011 Tahoe Hybrid engine produces 322 horsepower and 367 pound-feet of torque.
The 2011 Tahoe offers energetic acceleration, strong towing ability, great highway cruising, and a manageable ride. If passenger use is more important to you than hauling and towing, then you may prefer to choose a large crossover SUV instead. If a comfortable cabin and ride are as equally important to you as the ability to pull a load, then the 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe is still a top choice in the market of traditional large SUVs.
