The Honda Brio is yet another great car from the house of Honda. The Honda Brio has the looks to keep you hooked on to it. It does not try to outdo the likes of Chevrolet Beat and does not disappoint the Honda brand image as well. There is enough space for your luggage and 4 bottle holders that can hold full size bottles. The glove box however is small and lacks a chiller. The rear on the other hand tries to be different with a full glass which is well complemented by the clear lens transparent rear cluster lights which take their inspiration from the Jazz.
The Honda Brio engine is an 1198cc engine delivers 88 PS power at 6000 rpm with a 109 Nm of torque at 4600 rpm. The length of the car is under-four meter and measures 3.6 metre. The Honda Brio length is 3610 mm, width of 1680 mm and overall height is 1500 mm. The Brio has a wheelbase of 2345mm. The Honda Brio has a ground clearance of 165mm and a kerb weight between 920 kg to 940 kg. The tyre size is 175/65 R14 82T with 14 inch alloy wheels for the high end variant.
The ride and handling is probably the best part of the car. For an entry level car the Honda Brio handles all the turbulence of the road. This is further well complemented by the brilliant handling capabilities. The body roll slightly shows its effect and reminds you that there is some weakness to this otherwise good car. The body is one of the best and electric assisted steering makes your ride secure and smooth. The gearbox is the same as the one used in the Jazz but the ratios are different which means better mileage and durability in the Brio.
The Honda Brio colors include Alabaster Silver, Rallye Red, Emerald Blue, Titanium Grey Pearl, Tafeta White and Crystal Black Pearl.
The Honda Brio safety features include two front airbags including one Driver's side Intelligent SRS (i-SRS), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD, Brake Assist function, G-CON crash resistant and crumple zones. The seat belts are of pretensioner type that keeps the body in place in the event of a crash. The Honda Brio is made keeping the cost factor in India and makes do without many of the airbag features that would be necessary for European crash tests.
The Honda surely feels like a car in a higher class and this big-car feel for small-car money surely makes it worth a buy. The Honda Brio mileage is around 12.6kpl in the city and 17.0kpl on the highways.
